Knowledge

"It starts with knowledge..." is more than a motto to us- it's how we do business. Our first goal is to share some of what we have learned about our trade with you.

Profiling

Profiling

Machining a profile on the edge of a piece of wood is one of the most common processes, and the most visual. Whether you are matching a profile or creating a new design, a molder, router or shaper can all achieve this cut. Any form of tooling can achieve a profile edge, and the right choice of tooling depends on the lineal feet of production and budget. When visualizing your budget, make sure to account for set-up time- tool and fence changes can be time consuming and become a big part of your costs if your production isn't optimized to run many cuts on the same setup.
