Knowledge

"It starts with knowledge..." is more than a motto to us- it's how we do business. Our first goal is to share some of what we have learned about our trade with you.

Curve Profiling

Curve

Curve shaping is similar to profiling, but incorporates a curve in the design. Any tool can be used to produce this cut, but only three types of machines: Shapers, hand routers, and CNC routers. Because molders are designed for lineal work, a curve cut is beyond their ability. In the case of a shaper or hand router, traditionally a template and bearing are incorporated to make the cut. With a CNC router, the onboard software allows the machine head that holds the tool to follow a pro-programmed cutting pattern.
