Knowledge

"It starts with knowledge..." is more than a motto to us- it's how we do business. Our first goal is to share some of what we have learned about our trade with you.

Hardware

Hardware

Hardware is typically manually installed, unless it’s in a high volume production shop for a specific window design. Purpose-built hardware tables can be used to provide the ease and ergonomics to installation. Storage bins for parts and tools are also essentials for speed and organization to minimize mistakes. Some hardware tables also offer glazing bead sizing and cutting functions. The table can also be tilted for additional ergonomic support.

Hardware templates may be provided and used for the ease and accuracy of identifying the location and application of screw mounting.

The Supply Chain

Because the door you build is designed around the hardware you choose, it's a big decision- while we can machine wood to take nearly any shape we need it to, we all need to purchase the hardware pre-formed. This means the selection of hardware needs to account for not just the short-term. While missing components can hold up your entire production, discontinued parts could force you to design a whole new door. Managing the supply chain is a critical part of your success as a door manufacturer- building a great relationship with your supplier is key. We encourage you to work closely together with your hardware supplier to communicate and adjust your current and future project needs to safeguard your investment in developing and building a product line.
